The Steele HD-10
The Steele HD-10 extrusion system gives you the reliability, ease of operation and durability of our larger extruder series, in a smaller, more manageable footprint. It’s ideal for production facilities making low-tonnage or high-value extruded products, shaping up to five tons of raw materials per hour.
Move it with a 5-ton forklift
You don’t need heavy foundations to install the HD-10. Set it up as a stand-alone machine with integrated controls and vacuum system, or as part of a larger accessory line.
The HD-10 processes difficult-to-handle raw materials:
- Shales
- Plastic and abrasive clays
- High-value metallurgical process fines, dust and sludge
The HD-10 System can be supplied as a stand-alone extrusion system with its own electrical controls and vacuum, or integrated into a larger circuit.
Easy installation, operation and maintenance
This is a simple, reliable machine, designed to run night and day, with easy replacement of wearing parts, backed by the Steele global service and inventory commitment. The system uses two stacked identical extruders to eliminate the through shaft in our traditional pug sealers (it also gives you better access to change shearing and sealing dies to maximize vacuum).
Decoupling the pug sealer mixing function offers better process control and flexibility. The HD-10 works as a stand-alone extrusion system with its own electrical controls and vacuum, or integrated into a larger circuit, depending on your requirement.
