A business doesn’t make it to 130 years without a few personnel changes along the way and Steele is no exception. Please join us in congratulating each of these professionals on their next moves!
Tom Moorehead
Tom Moorehead is retiring today after 45 years in the brick industry. He joined us in 2005 after 28 years with General Shale, where he ran the Fairdale plant, and two years as a supervisor with Denver Brick and Pipe in Denver, CO.
Tom has worked with us as a sales engineer covering our Northeast territory, which includes everything east of the Mississippi, north of Tennessee and up into eastern Canada. It’s been an honor and a pleasure to work with a true brick professional like Tom and we wish him all the best!
George Campbell
George Campbell has taken over Steele’s Northeastern territory now that Tom Moorehead is riding off into the sunset. With fifteen years in heavy clay, he understands what our customers need — whether that’s machinery, engineering, parts or service.
George has been working in our Southwestern territory for the past four years and is looking forward to meeting new customers and building new relationships in the Northeast. You can reach him at gcampbell@jcsteele.com or 704.880.6189.
George Davenport
George Davenport has replaced George Campbell as Steele’s Southwestern territory sales representative. George joined us in May this year, after 25 years in the brick industry working in various positions.
He’s managed the Columbia, SC plant for Carolina Ceramics Brick Company and handled various responsibilities, including thin brick, maintenance and Lean production, for Hanson Brick. We’re delighted to have him join us!
You can reach George at gdavenport@jcsteele.com or 704.903.2274.
