Our dual rotor design minimizes dead space that allows material buildup and clogging, particularly when running materials with high moisture content. The machine’s mass and precision engineering protect bearings from dust, dirt and vibration.

Better airborne dust control

Most hammermills produce vertical dust plumes and high-velocity particles at the discharge. Our optional discharge conveyor and chute system minimizes or eliminates dust and particle discharge while improving service access.

Adjustable deflectors with clod removal ensure proper material intake. The optional feed chute improves grinding efficiency, dust control and service life.

Flexibility for your process

Like all Steele machines, the Double Rotor Hammermill combines robust construction with ready adaptability to your installation and processing requirements. Modifications for your materials and processes include individual breaker bar settings, higher tip speeds, special wear-resistant materials, motor and motor position modifications, and other accessories.
