How ‘bout a shout-out to John Sanders and his colleagues at the National Brick Research Center for planning and hosting this year’s virtual forum? It’s been a tough year, but they found a way to bring brick industry people together.
We had almost 300 visits to the Steele virtual booth and about 360 views of our 120 AEX presentation. Thanks to everyone who took the time to check us out.
What you may have missed
If you couldn’t join the Brick Forum, here are the Steele highlights.
As always, if you have any questions, talk to your Steele sales rep or email us.
The 120 AEX — A closer look at our new flagship extruder
Our new 120 is a beast, cranking out up to 120 TPH, for 50% more production capacity than our 90 Series. If you’re planning to push more cars through the kiln, this is the most cost-effective way to do it.
Like all Steele extruders, the 120 comes with the built-in flexibility you want, for the materials and products you’re running.
The new efficiency calculator — The data machine operators need
Want your machine operators to drive more efficient production? Our new web-based efficiency calculator gives them the data to do it, while supporting preventive maintenance and as-needed wearing parts replacement.
It’s on the Steele website. It’s free and easy to use. And our stiff extrusion experts are standing by, if you have any questions about your data.
The new 3EX laboratory extruder — Rapid prototyping and accelerated product development
It’s been a part of our materials and product testing for over 20 years. And now this new laboratory extruder is available for lease or purchase.
The 3EX gives you fast evaluations of material mixes and extruded products, for ROI you can measure in weeks or months, instead of years.
Steele world HQ — The virtual tour
What do you do when your customers and prospects want to see Steele’s operations in Statesville, NC, but aren’t traveling? You grab a GoPro and shoot a video.
Check it out! Mac Steele takes you around our plant, foundry and warehouse, introducing you to the people of Steele and how they’re making brick better. The video also included a contest with Steele swag and a grand prize — a Steele cooler filled with Wagyu steaks.
Marc Bradburry, of Triangle Brick, won the cooler and the steaks. Congratulations, Mark!
See you in Clemson next year
Until then, be safe and stay well. We’ll look forward to seeing everybody in person in 2021!
